The Mississippi Library commission has awarded three Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) Library Services and Technology Act (LSAT) grants to the Copiah-Jefferson Regional Library headquartered in Hazlehurst, Mississippi, totaling $9500.00.
These awards are three of thirty-nine LSTA grants given after a competitive application process.
These funds are being used to improve library services by providing DVD materials to library branches, upgrading staff equipment, and funding professional training opportunities to the library staff.
“The Library Commission is please to make these awards,” said Sharman Bridges Smith, Commission Director.
“Copiah-Jefferson Regional Library continually strives to enhance the library services for the community.
These grants will assist in those efforts.”
